Safety Arming Mechanism - URAN SDD

SAM-URAN-SDD

The Safety Detonation Device (SDD) ensures safe handling and operation of missile systems by preventing accidental detonation. It integrates an Electronic Module (EM) and Arming & Detonating Mechanism (ADM) to safely arm the warhead and trigger detonation upon impact.

Key Features :
  • A complete weapon system, including the missile, warhead, and associated components like the SDD.
  • Arming & Detonating Mechanism (ADM): A subsystem that arms the warhead and initiates detonation upon receiving the appropriate impact signal.
  • The electronic control unit within the SDD that processes signals and manages the system's functionality.
  • Impact Signal: A predefined signal that triggers the detonation of the missile's warhead upon impact.
