The Quick Reaction Electronic Time Fuze is an advanced fuze system designed for Active Protection Systems (APS) in battle tanks. Its primary function is to detonate ammunition at a preset time while ensuring safe handling during storage, transportation, and launch. The fuze integrates a safety and arming mechanism, self-destruction capability, internal power management, and intelligent sensing, all optimized for harsh battlefield environments.

Operation Mode :
- Preset Timed Detonation:The fuze is programmed to detonate ammunition after a preset time interval following launch.
- Launch Detection & Arming:The Safety and Arming Mechanism (SAM) activates only after detecting valid launch acceleration, ensuring the system arms safely and securely.
- Self-Destruction Backup:If the fuze fails to detonate at the preset time, a self-destruction routine is triggered to ensure battlefield safety and prevent ammunition recovery.
- Power Supply via Super Capacitor:Power is supplied through a super capacitor bank, charged before launch via the tank’s fire control system.
- System Interface & Testing:Compatible with external fuze setters and test consoles for validation, timing configuration, and diagnostics.
Fuze Safety:
The integrated SAM prevents arming during storage, transport, or handling. Only after verified launch acceleration is detected, arming is initiated. Self-check and isolation features prevent premature or unintended detonation.
Distant Arming:
The system arms automatically after detecting launch acceleration. It remains unarmed until launch, ensuring the ammunition stays in a completely safe state prior to deployment
FUZE ACTION:
The fuze activates either at the preset time after launch or through self-destruction if normal detonation conditions are not met, ensuring no dud or untriggered rounds are left in the field.
