Moored Mine (MM) is an advanced naval Mine to float at a preset depth beneath the sea surface, anchored to the seabed with rope.
The Moored Mine consists of the floating section and the sinker section.
This mine is designed to detect and neutralize enemy ships and submarines using multiple sensor triggers, the combination of Magnetic, Acoustic and Pressure Signatures emitted by vessels.
The On-Board advanced embedded Electronics comprises Data Acquisition along with peripheral devices for processing the data and to initiate command for the desired course of actions.
This project has been Designed and Developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
